In an emergency that I am not available-
Kindergarten
through Third Grade can read and sing along to Raffi. There are books
on the reading shelves and videos to read and watch. Raffi songs can
also be found on Youtube.
Fourth
through Sixth Grade can work on recorders, using their lesson books.
CD's can be found by the CD player. There are also a variety of movies
available for use with every class if you are not comfortable with
music class. I encourage you to select a musical that is age
appropriate. Disney movies are a great choice for animated musicals
seem to hold their attention.
Seventh
Grade can begin a musical video of your choice which can also be found
on the shelf. Fiddler on the Roof or The Sound of Music are excellent
choices. Please Google the synopsis and familiarize yourself with the
musical before you begin, if possible. Questions and study guides are
available for most musicals on line.
The
High School Chorus Members are very independent and can be run by the
Chorus Officers. Most music is pre-recorded on a disk that can be
played through the piano. Please remind students that every rehearsal
is important to the over-all performance or concert.
Thank you for substituting for me today!
