The American Association of University Women is offering a scholarship to Jefferson County women continuing their education.  Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
1. Applicant must be a resident of Jefferson County
2. Realistic goals and personal determination to achieve said goals.
3. Financial need
1. Participation in community service

The Watertown Baseball Umpires Association is offering a scholarship to a baseball player from a Frontier League High School.  All applicants must meet the following criteria:
1)  Varsity Baseball player for at least 2 years
2) Has been accepted to either a 2 or 4 year institution of higher education
3) Will be on a collegiate baseball team
4)  plan a career in athletics as a coach or in the following fields: sports medicine, sports journalism, and or sports management.
5) sportsmanship, character, and leadership are also a key component in being selected for the scholarhip.

The student must include transcript, letter of recommendation of both the Varsity Baseball Coach and the Athletic Director, and one academic teacher from their senior year.

The Northern New York Builders Exchange is offering a scholarship to seniors that will be pursuing a construction based major and maintained an 85 or above average.  Information is in the Guidance Office.

CSEA Jefferson Local 823 is offering a scholarship to students that are attending college or a technical school.  Applications are in the Guidance Office.

The Northern New York Young Soccer League is offering 2 scholarships of up to $500.00 to any club member who meets all of the following criteria:
Cumulative average of 85 or higher
Must have played in the Northern NY Youth Soccer League for 3 years
Volunteered to help the soccer community grow.

The MaryAnn Oliver Community Service Scholarship Award sponsored by The American Legion Riders Post 1757
is offered to students that are entering college, the workforce or military.  The student must be actively involved in the community.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and is offering a scholarship to female students pursuing a career in education.  Applications are in the Guidance Office.

The New York State Retired Teachers' Association, Inc and The Northern New York Community Foundation
is offering 2, $1,000.00 scholarships to student who are planning a career in education.  Applications are in the Guidance Office.

The New York Water Environment Association is a non-profit educational organization of water professionals promoting sustainable clean water quality management through science, education and training.  They are offering $50,000.00 in scholarships.

The Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators
is offering a $500.00 scholarship to  a male or female graduate of Jefferson County the is pursuing a degree in the education field. The scholarship will be granted based on the following:  financial need, school participation, scholastic standing and a genuine interest in the field of education.  Applicants must have at lease an 85% average. The Empire State Potato Growers, Inc.
annually awards a scholarship for undergraduate students residing in New York State, pursuing college studies benefiting the agricultural industry.  Applications are in the Guidance Office.

The Fireman's Association of the State of New York is offering 25 $1500.00 scholarships.  The applicant must be actively participating as a volunteer firefighter or junior firefighter - including BSA Explorer posts, Venturing Crews and RAMS - or participate in a volunteer EMS program.

s offering 4 - one time scholarships of $1500.00 to students attending 2 and 4 year colleges.  Applicants must be related to a firefighter, be a firefighter or be an Explorer in a fire department or fire district .  Students can get an application from the Guidance Office.

The Elks Lodge #496 of Watertown
is offering a $4000.00 scholarship to a student that has a parent, step-parent or grandparent in the lodge in good standing.  Student or parents can contact Mr. Tastor or myself for more information.
