Elks Scholarship Opportunities 

Each year the Elks organization gives out scholarships to area students. 

The first scholarship is an Emergency Educational Grant that is available to undergraduates who attend full time at an accredited U.S. college or university. The applicants need to be children of a deceased or totally disabled Elk member. The grants are in the form of renewable one-year grants of up to $5000. This is intended to be for educational assistance only and not intended to cover the entire cost of a college education. Applications are taken between May 1st and November 1st. The second scholarship is the Elks National Foundation Legacy Award. This is open to high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of an Elk member. Students should begin applying as soon as possible. The application deadline is February 5, 2021at 11:59 a.m. Central Time. The third scholarship is open to every senior in the United States. It is called the Most Valuable Student Award. The application deadline is on or before November 15, 2020. The applications are available online at enf.elks.org/MVS. The Elks National Foundation awards $2.44 million annually to 500 high school seniors nationwide. These four year scholarships consist of two $50,000 scholarships, two $40,000 scholarships, two $30,000 scholarships, fourteen $20,000 scholarships, and four hundred eighty $4,000 scholarships.
